My name is Oscar Carvente. I am a software engineer from Los Angeles, CA.

I have worked with both front end and back end technologies. I work mostly with React on the front end and Express and Node.js back-ends. I was a former math teacher so I love to teach and talk problem solving.

An all-in-one mobile app (ios, android) for a comic book retail storefront where users can buy and sell items. My role was to create the cart interface for clients to check out and the order services api to retrieve purchase history and update purchases in the backend.

Q&A Service

An e-commerce micro-service with ETL process handling nearly 2 GB of CSV data. I stress-tested API and database using k6 testing and loader.io. Improved throughput by 35% by deploying an Nginx load balancer and dual EC2 servers.
